Created using pencil and black charcoal pencil. This was a simple sketch from my sketchbook that I wanted to include due to its meaning. As the average high school student, I have suffered from serious insecurities not only of my abilities but of how others see me. I decided to draw this image after sitting in front of a mirror instead of picking out the parts of myself that I disliked, I looked for what I actually liked. I was wearing an off-shoulder top that made me realize how feminine my collar bones be made me look. To capture this feeling I drew out a quick sketch. Although not my best work, the essence of this image is what made me realize that art is truly what gives me confidence from the inside out.
